Bike polo..

.. is so much fun!

So is Muhka; we went on a long, 4 hour walk to Rittenhouse and Tanney park yesterday. She's sitting to my left right now, with her legs all sprawled and her h
ead on my thigh. Her ear is on the keypad, but just a few seconds ago it was her tongue. She's all about licking typing fingers.

Oh- back to bike polo.. I just "finished" building up the bike: it's my old Sekai track conversion frame that I slabbed a brake and a lower chain ring on. It's pretty great, but not for getting around. It's just great for getting around the polo court. If you've never heard of bike polo, it's just how it sounds: three players on a team, riding bikes (instead of horses) with polo mallets, trying to hit a little rubber ball in between two cones, respectively. So much fun. I went to the court on Front and Washington blvd last night for the first time. They play on a roller hockey c
ourt instead of the pavement at 23rd and Spruce. Also, they aren't all drunk and fist fights don't sporadically break out every week. Which isn't so bad, but it gets old quite quickly (to me, at least).

So that was last night. Tonight and the following four nights I have to work.. at Cosi.. barf.
I am in desperate need of a top tube pad and new black pants. Completely related. You see, the cable mounts on my top tube keep ripping my pants, annnnd it
happened when I was wearing my black pants for work.

Ah, c'est la vie. I've got 17 days left in this town. I'm going to miss some people when I leave, though.. I'll miss 'em lots.
